Location: Rochester, NY

Employment Type: Full time

Schedule: Mon thru Friday 7am to 4pm

Salary: $23.50/hr.

General Description

Under general supervision, performs a wide range of facilities services. Effectively supports ongoing and collaborative communication amongst all program staff and is responsible for ensuring a trauma informed care environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides janitorial services
  • Janitorial duties may include but are not limited to cleaning of restrooms, kitchen areas, walls, conference rooms, offices, windows, doors, elevators, etc.
  • Vacuums and shampoos carpet areas and upholstery.
  • Picks up trash and sorts for recycling.
  • Provides maintenance services
  • Sets up and takes down furniture for meetings.
  • Handles on-site deliveries.
  • Moves furniture and boxes.
  • Performs minor maintenance on cleaning equipment and building.
  • Cleans and changes HVAC filters
  • Clear snow from sidewalks and salt daily
  • Pressure wash around exterior of building
  • Meets with supervisor
  • Reviews work orders from staff and purchase orders for cleaning supplies.
  • Discuss janitorial and maintenance health and safety issues.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as needed
  • Carries out off-site errands.
  • Completes inventory of storage areas.
  • Provides plant care in reception and administration.
  • Access and use of own personal vehicle is required to perform some assigned duties.
  • Provide worksheets outlining completed tasks to the supervisor at the end of each day.
  • Provide tracking sheets to the supervisor at the end of each week.
  • Participates in staff and department meetings as required.
  • Awareness of and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan. Including, but not limited to, supporting the Agency's Core Competency initiatives of being Collaborative and Community Focused, Innovative and Entrepreneurial, and Culturally Competent and Diverse
  • Participates in relevant Agency meetings and/or trainings
  • Actively pursues development of professional competencies related to job performance through reading, supervision, in-service training and attendance at conferences and workshops.
  • Awareness and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan. Including, but not limited to, supporting the Agency's Core Competency initiatives of being Collaborative and Community Focused, Innovative and Entrepreneurial, and Culturally Competent and Diverse
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ Janitorial experience required. Candidates must have mechanical aptitude. The candidate must have a valid NYS Driver’s License with a driving record that follows Agency guidelines. Candidates must have reliable transportation as frequent travel between sites is required.
