Commercial Maintenance Technician Job Summary

Linden Oaks Management is seeking a dependable, motivated, and hands-on Commercial Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of a four-building commercial office park. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is self-motivated, and can independently identify and complete maintenance tasks to keep the property safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout four commercial office buildings.
  • Complete basic plumbing and electrical repairs and troubleshoot common maintenance issues.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Respond to tenant maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inspect buildings and grounds regularly to identify maintenance needs.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the office park, including:
    • Picking up sticks, branches, and debris.
    • Leaf collection and seasonal cleanup.
    • Light snow shoveling and ice treatment around entrances and walkways.
  • Assist with painting, drywall repairs, door and hardware adjustments, and other general building repairs.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors when necessary.
  • Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
  • Previous commercial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or property maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Experience with general carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and other handyman skills is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and perform repairs independently.
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills
  • Basic HVAC knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to maintenance requests efficiently.
  • Friendly, professional attitude when interacting with tenants and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Schedule
  • Full-time (Monday Friday)
  • Occasional after-hours or emergency response may be required during inclement weather or urgent maintenance situations.
