The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Rochester, NY. This role is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance across club buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and well-presented facilities for members and guests. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting and repairing building systems, performing general maintenance and minor repairs, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and coordinating with supervisors on work orders and special projects.
The technician will assist with equipment upkeep, seasonal readiness, and event-related facility needs, while following safety procedures and maintaining accurate maintenance records. Collaboration with other facilities and operations staff is expected to support smooth daily club operations.
- Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to ensure reliable operation of tools, machinery, and facility systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in Building Maintenance and Facility Management (FM) to oversee daily building care, scheduled maintenance, and basic infrastructure upkeep.
- Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues efficiently and implement effective repairs or elevate when needed.
- Relevant experience in facilities, construction, or building trades; ability to safely use hand and power tools and read basic technical instructions or drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an on-site environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and working in varied weather conditions; commitment to safe work practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; trade certifications or experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry are beneficial.
