On Call Cleaning Specialist

This position is based district wide as needed. Responsibilities as a Cleaning Specialist include helping provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors by:

• Cleaning and maintaining classrooms, learning areas, hallways, gyms, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, and emptying trash.
• Setting up and taking down tables, chairs, and equipment for school and athletic events.
• Cleaning and preparing cafeteria and lunch areas.
• Assisting with summer projects, including deep cleaning, classroom preparation, painting, and other building maintenance as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
• Performing light lifting and other custodial duties as needed.

Qualifications include the ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to perform physical tasks, including light lifting and extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and cleaning. A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a safe and clean school environment are also required.
