Function of Position:

This is an entry-level student position combining basic, routine elements of general labor and facility maintenance. The student worker assists with routine heavy and light manual tasks to support campus upkeep while ensuring zero conflict with academic schedules. The employee reports directly to and works under the direct, close supervision of a foreman, maintenance mechanic, or other designated higher level staff member.

Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this position.

Examples of

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assisting skilled or semi-skilled full‑time staff with basic general maintenance tasks, such as holding materials, painting, prepping areas for carpentry, installing equipment, or using hand tools for basic tasks.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles or supply trucks; moving boxes, furniture, or supplies manually.
  • Prepares and paints and/or refinishes wood, metal, and other surfaces
