- Salary Range: $17.00 - $20.00 Hourly
- Job Shift: Third Shift
The Fuel Facility Technician is responsible for performing a variety of quality control, data management and fuel facility service tasks.
Duties:- Perform daily, monthly, quarterly and annual fuel facility safety inspections
- Ensure all equipment is in safe operating order and functioning properly
- Assist with daily quality control inspections and inventory management
- Receive jet fuel into fuel facility storage tank system
- Perform quality assurance testing of fuel as required per ATA 103 standards
- Understand and follow all FAA, Federal, State, local, ATA 103, NFPA and Avflight safety policies and procedures
- Complete all necessary training per ATA
103, NFPA and Avflight guidelines - Assist with fuel facility periodic and discrepancy maintenance
- Assist with the prevention and cleanup of fuel facility spills
- Ability to drive heavy equipment such as snowplow, lawn tractors and other equipment as needed to maintain fuel facility grounds
- Perform grounds keeping and janitorial maintenance duties
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Customer service experience a plus
- Demonstrate basic computer skills with the ability to easily grasp the functionality and concepts of company software for paperwork and computer transactions
- Clear and legible handwriting
- Must be able to perform simple math functions accurately
- Positive team player
- Strong emphasis on safety
- Must be available and willing to work varied hours including swing and graveyard shifts plus weekends and holidays
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School diploma or GED equivalent,
- 2 years related experience, Aviation experience a plus
- Must have valid Driver's license with a good driving record within company standards
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment
- Strenuous lifting and pulling fuel hoses (75-80 lbs.). Must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including climbing, bending at the waist and knees, squatting, stooping, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time
- Must have sufficient vision and ability to perform the essential functions of the position safely
Airport environment:
Indoors and Outdoors. Extreme outdoor conditions where extreme temperature ranges may be encountered
