Job Title: Shipping / Receiving Coordinator
Position Category: Production
Reports to: Purchasing/Materials Manager
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Pay Rate: Starting at $19 with little to no experience rate negotiable depending on experience.
SummaryThe Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for assessing, acquiring and moving materials in support for the production processes. Maintain accurate records of all outgoing and incoming shipments from and to the warehouse.
Responsibilities- Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Collaborate and communicate with Purchasing/Materials Manager and Client Manager.
- Promptly unload trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
- Ensure goods are moved and stored properly and in good working condition. Return and compartmentalize broken or damaged goods.
- Ensure proper documentation of all warehouse related activities are delivered, completed and filed accordingly.
- Maintain an accurate log of daily moves, recording inventory, and counting accurately.
- Report problems, issues or concerns to Purchasing/Materials Manager.
- Maintain daily inventory.
- Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Operates powered equipment such as forklifts, lifts, order pickers, and similar powered equipment
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Follow established procedures to maintain a clean and organized environment and ensure safe working practices are followed.
- Attend all required employee meetings and trainings as scheduled by direct supervisor, management, or administration.
- Maintain individual skills and keep up to date with latest production and production required concepts.
- Operate a Box Truck
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma, GED, or formal vocational training
- Valid Driver’s License & must have a clean driving record
- Minimum of 6 months logistics/warehouse experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Data Entry
- Self-motivated and safety conscious
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Flexible schedule to work overtime, weekends and late shifts as needed (inventory, audits, late trucks, etc.)
- Valid CDL
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Willingness to go through CDL training
- Experience operating powered equipment such as forklifts, lifts, order pickers, and similar powered equipment
- Ability to work well under pressure and within tight timelines.
- Required to stand and walk frequently. Must occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The environment maintains an increased noise level.
- Schedule:
Work schedules may shift in days and hours worked due to production demand with the possibility of voluntary/mandatory overtime.
