Maintenance Specialist

The Poplar Creek Public Library District is seeking a part-time Maintenance Specialist. This position assists with general building repairs and maintenance as well as moving equipment and furniture and assisting other departments as necessary. Other duties include, but are not limited to, electrical repair, plumbing, painting, cleaning, landscaping, etc. This position is also responsible for opening & closing the building as well as driving cargo van for deliveries as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Successful experience in custodial and building maintenance. Plumbing & electrical service a plus. Must have a valid driver's license, in good standing, with proof of auto insurance.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions, ability to bend, stoop, or climb to reach items, ability to lift 50 lbs., pull/push 200 lbs. and move heavy objects.

25 hours per week:
Schedule to-be-determined, but includes days, evenings, and weekend rotation. Schedules are subject to change based on the needs of the library.

$19.00 to $23.00 per hour depending on qualifications
