- Perform basic electrical repairs (GFI, outlets, switches, troubleshooting)
- Complete basic plumbing repairs (faucets, toilets, drains, troubleshooting)
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems (filters, thermostats, belts)
- Conduct minor drywall repairs
- Perform basic carpentry work (door fitting and replacement)
- Handle garbage and linen runs as needed
- Carry out all Maintenance Level I functions
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment
- Respond to resident concerns promptly and communicate issues to supervisor
- Assist with special projects and assignments as directed
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR (required)
- Minimum of five years experience in building maintenance with an emphasis on carpentry, painting, electrical wiring and plumbing (required)
- Knowledge of heating and cooling systems
- Must have the ability to anticipate and/or troubleshoot problems
- Must have general knowledge of simple equipment used in the building trades
- Must have the ability to perform the physical demands of the role
