* Establish and maintain a high level of citizen confidence.

* The purpose of this position is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for Rockford Park District employees, customers.
* Sets up tables and chairs for weekend rentals ensuring furniture and rooms are clean prior to and after rentals.
* Acts as weekend rental and Saturday Public hours host.
* Performs simple maintenance duties to the buildings, facilities, grounds, and equipment according to required specifications for safety and appearance.
* Performs frequent routine safety checks on buildings, grounds, and equipment; files safety reports as required.
* Performs routine cleaning of building, floors, windows, restrooms, carpets, trash removal, grounds, sidewalks, trash pick-up and snow removal.
* Ensures that all work performed is conducted in a safe and timely manner adhering to standards of cleanliness and effective equipment utilization.
* Performs simple repairs to buildings, equipment, machinery, and vehicles as assigned according to Park District general maintenance procedures.
* Follows preventive maintenance schedule and performs simple preventive maintenance to equipment as assigned.
* Effectively and safely operates Park District equipment including vehicles and mowers as required.
* Effectively and safely operates trimmers, mowers, saws, drills and other hand tools as required.
* Responsible for the opening and closing of the facilities.
* Assists with delivery of supplies to various facilities
* Provides quality customer service to all patrons, guests, and other District employees.
