Maintenance Specialist in Rockford, IL
Position
Purpose:
The Warehouse Maintenance Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, modifying, rebuilding, and maintaining warehouse equipment in a safe and effective manner.
Responsible for supervision and performance of any maintenance employees to meet production goals.
Responsibilities- Determines work priorities for weekly and daily maintenance schedules and coordinates maintenance activities affection production or quality
- Responsible for promoting, supporting, and enforcing the elements of OSHA requirements, maintaining strict adherence to OSHA and Company safety policies/procedures
- Perform Job Hazard Analysis and Incident Investigations to maintain the safest work environment possible
- Takes ownership for processes
- Ensures machinery is safe and working optimally
- Responsible for the reliability of the equipment, monitoring and ensuring preventative maintenance and repairs are made as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve, resolve conflict, and multi-task
- Capacity to analyze and retain information
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Google Suite - Experience with electrical, robotic, mechanical, welding, and/or machining preferred
- Experience with forklift, man lift and overhead cranes
- Ability to transport between multiple warehouses in personal vehicle
- Work Address: Rockford, Illinois
- Travel between sites: Yes
- Lifting requirement (lbs): 40
- Physical tasks:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
- Ability to lift various shapes, sized and weights of material
- Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
- Reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
