ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Operational Excellence
* Ensure that all work performed is conducted in a safe and timely manner adhering to standards of cleanliness and effective equipment utilization.
* Operate hand and power tools safely and in accordance with established safety procedures.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on assignments using the District's Computer Maintenance
* Management System (CMMS).
Compliance
* Adhere to OSHA regulations and all district safety policies and procedures.
* Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for each task.
* Ensure all electrical and HVAC work adheres to applicable safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
* Inspect completed work to ensure quality and conformance to applicable codes and regulations.
* Maintains a working knowledge of department safety procedures; attends safety training programs and educational in-service trainings as required
Facility & Building Maintenance
* Perform general building and facility maintenance including interior and exterior repairs.
* Minor kitchen equipment repair; ice machines, reach-in coolers/freezers, stoves etc.
* Install, route, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling including Cat5e/Cat6 network cable, coaxial cable, and other structured wiring in support of IT equipment and building systems.
* Conduct routine inspections of facilities and report deficiencies to supervisory staff.
* Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
