Maintenance Helper

This position is located in the Facilities/Maintenance Branch, Support Division, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department, Naval Station Great Lakes, Illinois. The purpose of this position is to maintain and repair facilities and equipment, as well as facility renovations and support of special events and programs under the jurisdiction of the MWR Department.

• Knowledge of semi‑skilled elements of many trades.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to care for, check fluids, and determine the proper operation of a vehicle.
• Possesses sound basic knowledge of the elements of many trade fields as to material, repair parts, tools and methods of performing work.
• Must be able to work independently as well as with others.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part‑time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
