Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician helps maintain a safe, clean, and attractive environment for Fairhaven residents, staff, and visitors. This role performs a variety of maintenance, repair, preventative maintenance, and grounds-related duties throughout the campus.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some flexibility, on-call rotation, and occasional overtime required
Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour, depending on experience

Essential Duties- Complete maintenance and repair work orders.
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems.
- Perform Life Safety Code inspections and maintenance.
- Assist with facility setups, grounds work, and snow removal.
- Complete general handyman tasks such as replacing light bulbs, batteries, and toilet seats.
- Respond to resident maintenance requests as needed.
- Assist with janitorial tasks when necessary.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment throughout the facility.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and perform physical maintenance work.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems.
- Experience using power tools, maintenance equipment, and snow removal equipment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and Fairhaven policies.
- Comfortable working in a Christian retirement community.
- Available for on-call rotations, snow crew assignments, and occasional overtime.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Three or more years of maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare, senior living, or institutional setting.
- Trade school training or experience in a skilled trade is a plus.
