Part-Time Hotel Maintenance Technician (20 Hours Per Week)

Position Title: Part-Time Maintenance Technician
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week (flexible schedule, including occasional weekends or holidays as needed)

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hands‑on Part‑Time Maintenance Technician to help maintain our hotel and ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, preventative upkeep, and minor repairs throughout the property while responding promptly to maintenance requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and public areas, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC troubleshooting.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and facilities remain in excellent condition.
  • Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inspect hotel systems and identify maintenance needs before they become larger issues.
  • Maintain outdoor spaces, including walkways, lighting, landscaping touch-ups, and seasonal tasks such as snow or debris removal.
  • Assist with room renovations, furniture assembly, and fixture installations as needed.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and hotel policies.
  • Help keep maintenance areas organized and stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
Qualifications
  • Previous maintenance experience in hospitality, facilities, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and carpentry.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
Schedule
  • Flexible scheduling with availability for some weekends, holidays, and emergency call‑ins as needed.
