Gate Attendant GA; 1st Shift - Tyson of Rogers

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Pay: $17.40 per hour.

• Monitor and document all truck and trailer traffic entering and exiting the facility.
• Ensure all team members present a valid /badge upon entry.
• Inspect backpacks and enforce compliance with company policy, checking all non‑clear bags.
• Enforce proper footwear requirements for all personnel entering the facility.
• Operate a golf cart to perform trailer lot checks during designated hours.
• Enforce company policy regarding items brought into and out of the facility.
• Serve as the main point of contact for inbound and outbound calls; transfer and make necessary outbound calls to awaiting drivers.
• Maintain constant communication with plant management, truck drivers, vendors, and team members.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Wastewater, Shipping, and Receiving to facilitate inbound shipments.
• Utilize radios, Microsoft Teams, email, and phone for communication.
• Perform constant data entry and maintain accurate records of all trucks and trailers on the lot using Microsoft Excel.
• Conduct daily checks on all trailers, documenting set temperature, current temperature, and fuel levels multiple times per shift.
• Use a tablet to document and photograph inbound trailers and any reported damage.
• Document and report any onsite damages to trailers promptly.
• Process outbound paperwork and ensure all details match the Bill of Lading.
• Report shipping and receiving discrepancies or issues to ensure they are corrected in a timely manner.
• File away documents to maintain organized records.
• Assist in training new gate attendants.
• Be flexible with shift changes and be available for other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

• At least 6 months of continuous work history in the last 12 months.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook, and the ability to type accurately.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Applicants from Benton, Washington, and Madison counties in Arkansas are preferred.
• Previous Tyson employment requires a 180‑day waiting period; no more than two prior Tyson employments will be considered.
