Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Field/Service Technician
What You Can Expect
As a Groundskeeper, you will report to the site daily and serve as the main point of contact for vegetation maintenance, including weed control using a medium‑size agricultural tracker and box blade for road repair. You will oversee scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot equipment and vehicles on site. You will receive and report status updates on assignments and projects from scheduling software on a computer terminal in the office.
This work is completed independently among a team of technicians. Periodically you will manage and communicate with external contractors on site to ensure compliance and safety. You may be required to support solar technicians as needed for safety support and other assignments. You may be required to work on call as needed on site.
What You’ll Bring- Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
- Minimum 2 years work history using hand tools
- Ability to drive a medium‑size agricultural tracker
- Ability to actively read and interpret information such as instruments, gauges, and manuals
- Willingness to obtain first‑aid and CPR certification
- Role requires daily attendance at the worksite
- Must be available to travel to other sites for training and assistance as needed, typically on a weekly basis
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record to drive on site and to company trainings, events, and meetings
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- Position consists of 20% work indoors and 80% work outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions
- May involve lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance available
Hourly Range: $22.12 – $29.47 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan and emergency or on‑call pay.
