Position: Accounting Assistant (Accounts Receivable)

About the Role

The AR Accounting Assistant will use organization and detail orientation skills to process customer payments in a timely manner. The Accounts Receivable Accounting Assistant is responsible for entry of customer payments and general reimbursements in the company's accounting software system and utilization of Microsoft Excel. The Assistant will also assist with depositing checks via remote deposit process and provide additional general administrative support as needed.

  • Access payment data through bank websites
  • Data entry of customer payments to open invoices in the company's accounting system
  • Entry of miscellaneous reimbursements to general ledger accounts
  • Deposit checks to bank account via remote deposit process
  • Verify invoice details and payment differences with various operations teams throughout the company
  • Communicate with customers when payment questions arise
  • Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external inquiries
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Perform essential functions in a company‑designated office or field location
  • Understand and comply with the company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry‑specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of data entry, office administration, or accounting experience
  • High school diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Customer service aptitude and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work within a team environment with a collaborative approach
  • Ability to meet required deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, not afraid to ask questions
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal capabilities
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Capability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel (accuracy with data entry, formatting fields, and standardizing data)
  • Familiarity with business systems and working knowledge of accounts receivable and accounting software
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary $54,000‑$64,000/yr
    • Commensurate with experience, with weekly pay
