A well established consulting firm in Rolling Meadows, Illinois is seeking a highly capable Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This position offers a salary range of $100,000 - $150,000, based on experience, and presents an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, account reconciliations, tax preparation, compliance activities, and financial analysis for a diverse portfolio of investment entities, trusts, and closely held businesses.
This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to provide valuable financial insights that support business objectives and strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain accurate financial records for investment companies, trusts, and related entities while ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Perform detailed reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S Corporations, C Corporations, and trusts while researching tax-related matters and compliance requirements.
- Support compliance efforts by preparing reports, assisting with audits and regulatory reviews, and maintaining adherence to GAAP and other applicable standards.
- Analyze revenues, expenses, and financial performance trends while assisting with budgets, forecasts, and financial planning initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership to support operational efficiency, strategic planning, and long-term business objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Experience preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in-office three days per week.
