The Project Accountant -Solar&Renewable Energyreportstothe Project Accounting Managerandplaysakeyroleinthefinancialmanagementofrenewableenergyconstructionprojects .Thispositionservesastheliaisonbetween Project Management and Accounting ,ensuringtheaccuratesetup,tracking,reporting,andbillingofsolarandrenewableenergyprojects.

The Project Accountant -Solar&Renewable Energyisresponsibleforsupportingprojectsfrominitialsetupthroughcloseoutbymonitoringprojectcosts,managingbillingprocesses,trackingfinancialperformance,andensuringcompliancewithclient,contractual,andcompany requirements.

Thisrolerequirescollaborationwith Project Managers ,Engineers,Superintendents,subcontractors,andvendorsthroughoutallphasesofprojectdeliveryandsupportsthecontinuedgrowthofBEARConstruction'sSolar

Division.

• Projectsetup,budgetentry,and subcontract/purchaseorderissuanceforsolarandrenewableenergyprojects.
• Furnishandissuechangeorderstoclients,subcontractors,and vendors.
• Trackprojectcosts,commitments,andbudgetperformancethroughouttheprojectlifecycle.
• Performprojectauditstoidentifyandcorrectfinancialorsystemdiscrepancies.
• Reviewjobbillingstatusreportstoensureprojectsareinvoicedaccuratelyandtimely.
• Preparemonthlyownerbillings,payapplications,and milestone-based invoices.
• Createandprocesstimeandmaterialbillings,where applicable.
• Workcloselywith Project Managerstomonitorprofitability ,cashflow,andprojectfinancialhealth.
• Identifyandcommunicatecostoverruns,budget variances,andfinancialriskstoprojectandaccountingleadership.
• Supportmonthlyforecasting,Work-in-Progress(WIP) reporting,andprojectfinancialreviews.
• Assistwithtrackingretention,lien waivers,andsubcontractorcompliancedocumentation.
• Reviewandapprove Accounts Payableinvoiceswhenassigned .
• Monitorprojectreceivablesandassistwithcollectionsefforts.
• Supportprojectcloseoutactivities,includingfinalbillingsandfinancialreconciliation.
• Maintainaccuratefinancialrecordsusingcompany-approvedsoftwareandaccountingsystems.
• Assistindevelopingandimprovingprojectaccountingprocesses,reporting tools,anddepartmentprocedures.
• Abilitytoaccommodateadditionalresponsibilities,as assigned.

• 2to5yearsofexperienceinprojectaccounting,constructionaccounting,orarelatedfinancialrole.
• Strongattentiontodetailandorganizationalskills.
• Excellentwrittenandoralcommunicationskills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products ,including
  
  Outlook and
  
  Excel.
• Abilitytoworkwithminimalsupervision.
• Abilitytoeffectivelyprioritizetasksandmeetdeadlines.
• Stronganalyticalandproblem-solving skills.
• Abilitytoeffectivelypartnerwithoperationsteamsandprojectleadership.
• Basicunderstandingofconstructioncontracts,billing procedures,andprojectfinancialreporting.
• Abilitytoaccommodateadditionalresponsibilities,as assigned.

• Bachelor'sDegreein
  
  Accounting,Finance,Business Administration,orequivalentprofessionalexperience.
• 3+yearsofexperienceinthe
  
  Construction
  
  Industry.
• Experiencesupportingsolar,renewable energy,utility,electrical,orinfrastructureprojectspreferred.
• Experience using Vistaby Viewpoint and Procore .
• KnowledgeofAIAbilling,retainagetracking,lien waivers,andchangeorderprocesses.
• Experiencewithprojectforecastingand Work-in-Progress(WIP) reporting.
• Familiaritywithutility-scale,commercialrooftop,battery storage,EVinfrastructure,orotherrenewableenergyprojectspreferred.
• Understandingofprojectlifecyclemilestoneswithinrenewableenergyconstructionenvironments.
