A Benefits Administration Manager of Sales Operations at Arthur J. Gallagher (AJG) is designed to provide essential services to the business development and sales functions, ensuring smooth operations and effective client engagement. This position typically involves a combination of sales, administrative, and communication tasks to support the sales team, benefits brokers and consultants and enhance business development efforts. Below is a general job description for such a role:
How you ll make an impactPrepare sales presentations, demonstrations, proposals, and other documentation required for client meetings.
Market Research and Analysis
- Coordinate with the sales team to ensure timely follow-up on leads and client inquiries
- Stay current on benefit administration technology updates with our provider partners
- Analyze industry trends and competitor activities to support strategic planning
Communication and Coordination
- Serve as a liaison between the sales team and other internal departments to facilitate communication and collaboration
- Assist in coordinating cross-functional projects and initiatives
Reporting and Data Management
- Generate regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market analysis
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting activities
Event and Campaign Support
- Assist in organizing and executing marketing campaigns, events, and webinars
- Support the development of promotional materials and content
Administrative Support
- Assist the sales team with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and organizing travel arrangements
- Maintain and update client databases and CRM systems to ensure accurate and current information
- Minimum five years’ experience in HR technology; particularly benefits administration or with a benefits brokerage firm
- Good sales, customer, and interpersonal skills are critical to the success of this position
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment
- Must have a high level of professionalism, productivity, dependability, and accuracy
- Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel; ability to listen, clarify and respond well to questions
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
