Position: Guest Services - Recreation (PT)
Position Summary The Guest Services – Recreation position is responsible for performing a variety of duties including maintaining outstanding communication with patrons and team members. This is an at-will position.

Essential Functions Provide customer service at the registration area via in-person, telephone and email.

Assist the Recreation Department with tasks and activities as needed

Strong understanding of all seasonal programs offered at the District.

Responsible for the administration and training of the registration software system.

Input program information into registration software system.

Responsible for inputting registrations on a daily basis.

Issue pool, fitness and ice arena passes, including picture-taking of applicants.

Process class lists and attendance rosters.

Process refunds.

Assist with proofing and editing information in the program guide three (3) times a year.

Accurately attend to customer’s questions and concerns regarding registration.

Maintain paperwork on registration, refunds, and bank outs.

Deliver bank deposits to bank as directed.

Complete all necessary forms as needed.

Assist with facility rentals and permits as needed, including inquiries, preparing contracts, collecting deposits, payments, issuing refunds, etc.

Adhere to general policies and procedures of the Rolling Meadows Park District.

Aid in making telephone calls for program changes, cancellations or closings, wait list openings or proofreading communications.

Attend all meetings as needed.

Qualifications Graduate from high school with at least two (2) years of front-line guest services experience required. The position requires strong people and customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and the public. Computer and keyboard skills required. This position requires the ability to multitask as well as good math skills and the ability to follow through on detailed work.

SCHEDULE & PAY:

This is a part-time, year-round position. Working hours are 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Community Center or Teen Center. Hiring range starts at $17.00-$17.50 per hour, dependent upon qualifications. Plus, applicable facility and program discounts.
