Inspectors; Field Based

ERM is hiring Inspectors to perform inspections of water service lines and work in field teams of two to determine the service line material. Work will occur in properties in Danville, IL
. The role is part-time (20 hours per week) for the duration of 12 months, renewable.

• Conduct field inspections to determine water service line material.
• Interact with and serve as a point of contact for ERM with landowners, contractors, clients, and other project team members.
• Review and implement project documents and enter data.
• Provide technical leadership, support, and direction to field staff, including coordination of daily inspections, schedules, and meetings.
• Distribute water sampling test kits and contracts to landowners as needed.
• Document findings by preparing daily written inspection reports with written and photo documentation.
• Participate in various meetings.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned or required.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Basic understanding of building construction and ability to locate a water meter or shutoff is preferred but not required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, digital camera operation, and handheld data collection devices.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Compliance with ERM health and safety procedures.
• Good driving record.

Annual base pay is anticipated at $58,240 – $72,800, or $28.00/hr – $35.00/hr pay is non‑exempt. Actual pay depends on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, performance, shift, travel, and organizational needs. This position may be eligible for bonus pay. Casual and fixed‑term/Flexforce employees are not bonus eligible.

• Benefits eligibility limited to regular employees scheduled for 20 or more hours per week. Fixed‑term employees scheduled for 20 or more hours per week are eligible for a limited benefits package. Casual employees are not eligible.
