Sr Principal Engineer Process

Position

Sr. Principal Manufacturing Process Engineer – Radio Frequency Systems (Product Build for RF Electronic Warfare Systems)

Location:

Rolling Meadows, IL – on site.

• Coordinate with Design Engineering, Production, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, and Quality organizations to meet manufacturing contractual commitments.
• Investigate, design, and provide solutions to support nonconformance repair procedures.
• Generate and maintain or revise Manufacturing Engineering Process Specifications, Work Instructions, Routers, Tooling/Fixturing, and Equipment.
• Review quality metrics to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost, cycle time, and defects.
• Collaborate with design engineering to achieve producibility in new and updated product designs.
• Interface and communicate with multiple levels of leadership, clients, and vendors.

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related STEM field with a minimum of 9 years relevant work experience; or MSc with 7 or more years relevant experience in equivalent fields.
• Experience interpreting drawings and specifications with limited assistance.
• Experience creating process work instructions and/or working in a manufacturing or design environment with limited assistance.
• Experience with complex system problem solving.
• Experience with executive presentations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.

• Active DoD Security Clearance (not required).
• Experience presenting to various levels of management on projects and issues.
• Project management experience on medium to large scale projects.
• Experience working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
• Experience with high temperature furnace processing.
• Experience with laser welding and leak checking.
• Experience manufacturing Traveling Wave Tube Assemblies (TWT).
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting tools.
• Proven excellence with Root Cause Corrective Action methods.
• Experience developing or improving manufacturing processes for Radio Frequency (RF) electronic products and/or equivalent.

Primary Level Salary Range: $123,400 – $185,000.
