The EEDS (Engineering Environment Development & Support) organization is looking to add a team member to its ranks! EEDS Supports 25,000+ users on an annual basis and is looking for an Application Sponsor to manage software and systems engineering tools. The Engineering Environment Development & Support (EEDS) Systems and Software team provides coast to coast support to engineering and manufacturing organizations within Northrop Grumman and is looking to augment its team with another member.

The successful candidate needs to demonstrate strong leadership characteristics and be a self-starter who operates at a high level with little direction or oversight. They need to possess the will to learn new technical concepts, think outside the box, and be open to learning, training, and developing SME level expertise where it did not exist before! We are looking for someone with analytical skills, a service‑oriented mindset, strong communications skills, and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate has experience with Software Engineering tools such as Visual Studio, Intel one API, Coverity, National Instruments, and Reliasoft to name a few!

This role requires regular interface with engineers, management, and the development of processes for large groups of users.

This full‑time position is located in Rolling Meadows, IL; the selected candidate will be required to work on‑site at our Rolling Meadows campus at least 2‑3 days per week.

Job responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Act as the Project Manager for your respective engineering tools- you are the captain of your ship!
• Maintain tool roadmaps up to date with current and historical application release information.
• Engage with user base and sector leadership to determine areas for improvement and customer needs.
• Apply engineering techniques and analytical methods to make recommendations for improvements and provide information and assistance to end‑users.
• Package and customize application installation packages from vendors to be deployed in the software store for customer use.
• Provide exemplary customer service via Service Now Help Desk tickets for your tools and applications.
• Develop SME level expertise to assist in training and use of sponsored tools.
• Support multiple projects concurrently based on priority and criticality.
