Must Haves:- 2+ years of electronics packaging experience OR Master's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering
- Experience with hardware development and electro-mechanical packaging
- Experience in at least one of the following: thermal analysis, structural analysis, microelectronics design, opto-mechanical design, or environmental testing
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tool Siemens NX (Creo if not NX) and product data management tools
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including design reviews and stakeholder/customer briefings
- Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- ANSYS or other engineering analysis tools experience
- Familiarity with opto-mechanical engineering
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) proficiency
- Experience with earned value management (EVM), project metrics, budgeting, and scheduling
Design, develop, analyze, and integrate ruggedized electronic and electro-mechanical systems used in military applications. This engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the full product lifecycle, from requirements and concept development through production and environmental testing. They will solve complex technical problems, conduct analyses, support manufacturing and suppliers, lead design reviews, and help drive innovative solutions that meet performance, cost, and schedule objectives.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop ruggedized electronic and electro-mechanical hardware systems
- Perform mechanical analyses including thermal, structural, and environmental assessments
- Create and release engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Support requirements analysis, concept development, detailed design, production, and testing efforts
- Present designs and analysis findings during internal and external design reviews
- Provide support to manufacturing teams and suppliers during product development and production
- Drive technical problem-solving efforts and implement innovative engineering solutions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, program management, and customers
- Support engineering change in corporations and product improvements
- Mentor team members, share knowledge, and contribute to process
