Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide project financials and serve as a business partner to the project and operational management teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare monthly financial results, variance analysis, and executive‑level reporting packages
  • Ensure financial processes and controls align with SOX and IFRS requirements
  • Support monthly close activities, including review of junior staff tasks, journal entries, reconciliations, and alignment with IFRS and SOX
  • Mentor junior finance staff on reporting and analysis
  • Prepare weekly financial forecasts for Segment Business Review and explain week‑over‑week variances, identifying financial risks and opportunities
  • Partner with Operations to forecast and analyze revenue recognized under percentage‑of‑completion (POC)
  • Answer financial questions and support business decision‑making
  • Review departmental forecasts and actual headcount and costs with leaders to ensure accurate forecasting and overhead control
  • Monitor, analyze, and forecast divisional cash flows, including operational and project impacts
  • Prepare annual departmental budgets and monthly reports comparing actual to plan
  • Pursue and implement process improvements in the department and business
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required
  • Generate ad‑hoc analysis for business initiatives
  • Maintain record retention and documentation standards for finance functions
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other documentation requirements
  • Safeguard company assets
  • Comply with work‑from‑home policy and all company ATS policies
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA or CPA candidacy desired
  • 3–5 years of equivalent accounting experience
  • Experience in a project‑based environment using POC revenue recognition preferred
  • Preferred two (2) years in a SOX and IFRS environment
  • Excellent math, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with enterprise resource planning systems, Microsoft Office, and advanced Excel
  • Ability to work with business systems directly or indirectly
  • Hands‑on approach with ability to meet deadlines
Job Specifications
  • May be required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor level
  • May exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds frequently
  • Normal visual acuity required for reading written instructions and computer screens
  • Normal hearing required for understanding verbal instructions
  • Work in a normal office environment with occasional exposure to noise or hazards when visiting manufacturing floor
  • Capable of wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods as needed
Health, Safety and Environment

Work in compliance with divisional Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures. Report unsafe conditions or acts to leaders, and if not addressed, to the General Manager. Ensure required PPE is used. Attend required training and report accidents or incidents to supervisors. Follow pandemic protocols and environmental responsibility practices.
