Data Security Architect – Cloud & Network Focus

Must have

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or technical lead capacity.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Significant familiarity with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar technologies.
• Expertise in designing and managing data warehouses and databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, SQL Server).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their associated data services.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and architectural principles.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred qualifications include:
• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Flink).
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows and their integration with data pipelines.
• Certification in relevant cloud platforms or data engineering tools.

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and architectural frameworks to facilitate data integration, transformation, and analytics.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Supervise the implementation of best practices in data engineering, including data governance, security, and quality standards.
• Mentor and support a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Assess and recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks that could enhance our data engineering ecosystem.
• Ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of data systems and processes.
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other teams to promote data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies within the data engineering and analytics fields.
