Gallagher Bassett is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our product development team. Our team is doing exciting work building new analytics and AI products for our colleagues and customers. Your responsibilities will include partnering with the business to identify key requirements and ensure proper documentation to bring new products to life and evolve existing products. In addition, you will partner with the business to ensure user acceptance testing is robust and all feedback is documented and reviewed.

• Define and document product requirements by partnering with business stakeholders, technical colleagues and vendors. This includes functional requirements, technical specifications, user stories, user interfaces, key performance metrics, and dashboard requirements.
• Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and task and workflow analysis.
• Serve as the key point of contact to answer questions for the development team regarding product requirements and business needs.
• Conduct User Acceptance testing with business stakeholders and vendors to ensure the product is built to meet documented requirements. Design and execute test plans, document test results, and collaborate with stakeholders to address issues.
• Assist with the design and implementation of operational and system improvements to ensure products are both effective and efficient.
• Analyze end user feedback, identify process deficiencies, research solutions, and oversee remediation. Focus on gathering enhancement ideas and defining requirements to evolve products as business needs change.
• Build trust in key business partner relationships.
• Create clarity in projects and work effectively through ambiguity.
• Handle complex business and technical environments.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to transform our product line and contribute to discussions on product roadmap, releases, and user satisfaction.

• Bachelor's degree or relevant combination of education and experience.
• 4 years of experience as a business analyst.
• Experience working with analytics and AI products preferred.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry, specifically workers compensation and liability claims, preferred.
• Consolidate and formalize requirements from diverse stakeholders, encouraging and questioning business assumptions.
• Strong communicator – facilitation of requirements and meetings through probing questions and active listening.
• Align business and technical objectives to foster shared understanding of problems.
• Evaluate and critically consider multiple options before helping the team settle on solutions.
• Impeccable documentation and business writing skills – build clear and concise BRDs and articulate business asks.
• Open to constructive feedback and eager to learn from experienced team members.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
