Job DescriptionWe are looking for a meticulous and proactive Quality Assurance Inspector with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for precision. In this vital role, you will inspect all internally manufactured products with tolerances as tight as 50mm to ensure they meet exacting specifications. You will also inspect purchased products to verify compliance with “as ordered” requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Measure highly variable parts produced in low quantities.
- Perform detailed inspections of in-process components, finished products, and purchased items using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, vision inspection systems, and a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
- Reverse engineer customer‑supplied tools.
- Accurately collect and document data related to product quality for review and reporting.
- Identify non‑conformances and collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
- Support quality management systems through procedure updates, internal audits, and external inspections.
- Ability to understand and effectively read, write, and speak English.
- Proficient in reading mechanical drawings (blueprints).
- Experience with precision measuring instruments, including CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Familiarity with vision inspection systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented setting.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating across departments.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
- Ability to work full‑time on‑site at our Rolling Meadows facility.
- Exposure to tooling, machining, grinding, or assembly is beneficial but not required.
