Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2 (First Shift) supports the Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) Cell, where precision, safety, and adherence to specialized processes are critical.
What You’ll Do- Perform a variety of operations to assemble, solder, and integrate precision electromechanical products.
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to a specified tolerance.
- Assemble, disassemble, repair, and reassemble precision assemblies and correct malfunctions.
- Assemble and modify prototype precision units for engineering personnel.
- Monitor and verify quality by statistical processes or other control procedures.
- Perform accurate data and record keeping.
- Perform tasks according to the company’s electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures.
- Work from designs, work instructions, and verbal instructions.
- Complete in-house Solder, Optics, ESD, and FOD certifications.
- Use Microsoft Office products.
- Use Enterprise Resource Planning Software.
The ideal candidate must be able to communicate, read, understand, work with small mechanical parts and fiber optic cables, and follow standard operating procedures and assembly instructions.
Basic Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Current Interim Secret clearance or above.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience performing assembly of products using standard electromechanical techniques and basic handheld tools with good dexterity.
- Experience in soldering by specified workmanship standards.
- Experience with shop safety practices and procedures during assembly operations.
- Experience using measuring tools such as caliper, micrometer, and height gauge.
- Experience reading technical blueprints, electrical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience handling, cleaning optics, and optic assemblies.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Position involves repetitive tasks and prolonged standing; the candidate should be able to manage these physical demands effectively.
- Must be comfortable working with hazardous chemicals and cleaning solutions, with a focus on rigorous adherence to safety protocols.
- Follow all related safety guidelines.
- Ability to work overtime, including staying after normal working hours and weekend work when needed.

Salary RangePrimary Level Salary Range: $45,100.00 – $75,100.00.
