Please reach out to our Monica Montes for additional information by calling  or email  Chase Technical Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Band Saw Operator for our client in Elgin, IL. We are looking for a dependable, safety-conscious individual with at least two years of recent band saw operating experience. Candidates who are flexible to work overtime during peak production periods are highly preferred.

• Operate industrial band saw equipment to cut metal materials according to specifications.
• Monitor equipment performance and ensure quality production throughout each shift.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and daily equipment inspections.
• Read and interpret simple blueprints and geometric tolerances.
• Organize and prepare parts for the next stage of production.
• Assist with the operation of additional fabrication equipment as needed.
• Use measuring instruments including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Utilize hand tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, grinders, and banding equipment.
• Work closely with plant management to help maintain inventory of production materials.
• Produce quality parts while maintaining productivity and following all safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

• Minimum 2 years of recent Band Saw operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
• Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
• Forklift and/or overhead crane experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to remain focused and productive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work overtime during busy production periods.
