The Warehouse & Assembly Technician supports daily warehouse operations by receiving, handling, storing, and shipping materials accurately and efficiently. In addition, this role assists with the assembly and preparation of turnkey equipment packages, requiring basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with hand and power tools.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Perform daily warehouse activities including receiving, packing, shipping, restocking, and material handling.
- Prepare, package, and label domestic and international shipments.
- Inspect incoming materials for quantity and quality; report discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain organized inventory and ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored.
- Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Update shipment logs, customs paperwork, inventory records, and other basic warehouse documentation.
Assembly & Technical Support
- Assist in the assembly of turnkey package solutions and related equipment.
- Interpret basic assembly instructions, drawings, and work orders.
- Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively.
- Perform basic mechanical fitting, mounting, and component installation.
- Conduct visual inspections and basic functional checks of assembled units.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, assembly, logistics, or a related environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work on a regular basis.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a positive team-oriented attitude.
Preferred
- Experience assembling mechanical or electromechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory management or shipping systems.
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and OSHA standards.
- Experience reading basic assembly drawings or technical instructions.
