Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Inspector 4 to join our team located in Rolling Meadows, IL facility Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability (MSTS) division.

• Closely work with inspection management to build, formalize and maintain a documented training plan.
• Working with program quality engineers supporting the submittal of hardware to the customer and serve as backup.
• Clearly, accurately and concisely communicate potential defects to Quality engineers for disposition.
• Widely cross trained across the breadth of inspection tasks.
• Identify trending defects not limited to single product or program.
• Inspects, verifies and validates parts and assemblies of mechanical, electrical, structural components or systems meet engineering and program requirements.
• Visually and physically inspects installations and rechecks work after rework, adjustment or repair.
• Monitors and verifies that product quality is in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and other control procedures.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Maintains necessary inspection documentation, writes inspection reports, and enters inspection data and defect information into a computer database.
• Frequently interfaces with internal teams across the organization and external customers and contacts.
• Participates in team activities and provides expertise and guidance for effective problem-resolution.
• Audits processes and activities in accordance with documented procedures.

• High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of experience manufacturing and/or inspecting infrared countermeasure (IRCM).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship Required.

• Experience training or leading peers.
• SAP experience.
• Experience as lead inspector in a work center.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Experience with the MRB processes.
• Experience working in the Aerospace or Defense Industry.
• Military experience manufacturing or inspecting infrared countermeasure (IRCM).
• IPC-A-610 experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $63,500.00 - $

Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results.
