Sales Representative, Sales Development Rep/SDR
* Overview* We are seeking a motivated
* Business Development Specialist
* to join a growing inside sales team focused on outreach to schools and small districts. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to build a foundation in sales, develop strong communication skills, and grow into future inside or outside sales opportunities.
In this role, you will reengage past customers, activate dormant accounts, and generate new sales opportunities through consistent outbound communication.
* Key Responsibilities
* * Sales Outreach & Account Engagement
* * Conduct high volume outbound calls to active customers, dormant accounts, and prospects.
* Present and promote products, services, and current promotions via phone and email.
* Prioritize accounts with past purchase history to drive reengagement.
* Utilize established scripts and talk tracks to guide conversations.
* Manage all outreach, communication, and followup within the CRM.
* Relationship Development
* * Build rapport with school decision makers, including purchasing departments, nurses, athletic staff, and administrators.
* Gather and document key purchasing information for assigned accounts.
* Partner with sales staff when escalated or inperson support is needed.
* Account Growth & Revenue Support
* * Identify upsell opportunities within your book of business.
* Collaborate with the bids and quotes team on transactional sales needs.
* Engage internal teams to resolve customer issues and implement solutions.
* Drive customer awareness, engagement, and repeat purchasing behavior.
* Collaboration & Teamwork
* * Work closely with team members to achieve shared sales goals.
* Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
* Participate in occasional overnight travel or weekend conferences.
* Perform additional duties as needed.
* Role Structure
* * Manage a portion of a ~12,000account book, focused on single schools and small districts.
* Outreach is primarily phone and email based.
* Conversations are quick and transactional-most prospects already know the brand.
* Performance Expectations (KPIs)

* * Conversion of prospects into active customers
* Demonstrated account growth over time
* Compensation Structure
* This role includes
* base pay + uncapped bonuses*:
* * Percentage of Gross Margin on Sales Closed

* * Account Growth Incentive* - Earn additional payout for growing assigned accounts above target thresholds.
* Monthly Bonus Target:
* Strong performers typically earn *~$1,000/month
* in commission.
* Training & Onboarding
* New hires receive handson, structured training including:
* Direct mentorship for the first 2-4 weeks
* Product line education, systems training, and workflow guidance
* Phone activity by Day 3 with realtime coaching
* Expectation to operate independently by the end of month one
* Qualifications
* * Must Haves
* * Two or fouryear degree
* At least one internship or postgraduation job (ideally within the past two years)
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Soft Skills
* * Interested in building a longterm sales career
* Outgoing, friendly, and confident on the phone
* Comfortable with high call volume

* Pay and Benefits
* The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
