Rolling Meadows, IL (Onsite) Pay: $164/hr W2 OR $194.50/hr 1099

Contract:

12 months to start Overview Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineer Software 3 to support the Radio Frequency (RF) Business Unit in Rolling Meadows, IL. This role will contribute to the development of mission-critical software supporting national defense programs while working within an Agile software engineering environment focused on innovation, automation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong C++ development experience, GUI development expertise, and experience supporting the full software development lifecycle from requirements through integration and deployment.

Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain software applications supporting RF systems and engineering programs
* Develop object-oriented software solutions using C++
* Create and maintain graphical user interfaces (GUIs)
* Support software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented design initiatives
* Develop and maintain applications utilizing relational databases and SQL
* Support software running on Windows operating systems
* Participate in full software development lifecycle activities including requirements, design, coding, testing, and integration
* Collaborate with customers, users, engineers, and technical teams to deliver software solutions
* Utilize Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies to support project execution
* Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and system integration efforts Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with 5+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience (additional experience may substitute for degree requirements)
* Strong object-oriented programming experience using C++
* Experience developing Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs)
* Familiarity with software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented design principles
* Experience working with relational databases and SQL
* Experience developing applications for Windows operating systems
* Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall development methodologies
* Experience with source control and collaboration tools such as Git, Git Lab, Git Hub, Bitbucket, Clear Case, Jira, or Rally
* U.S. Citizenship required
* Active Secret Clearance required to start

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with modern C++ (C++11 or newer)
* Experience with Python, Bash, Batch, or other scripting languages
* Experience testing, debugging, and integrating software on target hardware platforms
* Experience with Qt framework development
* Experience with DOORS requirements management
* Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills Additional Notes
