We are currently seeking Service Crew Associates for a temporary assignment at the Georgia-Pacific facility in Rome, Georgia. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while supporting sawmill operations and maintaining a safe, clean workplace.

Pay Rate $22.95 per hour Additional $1.50 per hour night shift differential

Department Sawmill Sawmill  Clean-Up Crew Schedule Early Week Crew Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PMMonday – Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PMLate Week Crew Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Thursday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Position Summary The Service Crew is responsible for maintaining housekeeping standards throughout the sawmill and supporting production operations.

The primary focus of this role is ensuring equipment efficiency by completing cleaning activities and maintaining clean, safe work areas. Employees will perform general housekeeping, remove lumber from conveyors, stack lumber onto carts, and provide operational support as needed.

Essential

Job Duties Ensure workstations and surrounding areas remain in compliance with company housekeeping standards

Perform general housekeeping and cleanup in machine areas and throughout the facility

Sweep, shovel, and remove wood waste and debris, transporting materials to designated collection systems

Support equipment efficiency by maintaining clean operating areas

Remove lumber from conveyors and stack onto carts

Clean and sanitize high-traffic areas, including handrails, doors, walkways, and mobile equipment

Use brooms, blowers, shovels, and other equipment to maintain a clean and safe work environment

Work in various areas of the sawmill to support production and quality goals

Help maintain environmental controls and reduce safety and fire hazards

Provide occasional operational support to machine operators during breaks, absences, and staffing shortages

Follow all safety procedures, environmental requirements, and company policies

Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, stoop, climb, and walk throughout the shift

Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours per day Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks in a manufacturing environment

Ability to work around moving equipment, dust, noise, and varying temperatures

Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in an industrial setting

Qualifications

Previous manufacturing, warehouse, lumber, or general labor experience preferred but not required

Strong work ethic and dependable attendance

Commitment to workplace safety

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Willingness to work in a physically demanding industrial setting

Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
