Custodian - College Campus; Rome

Full Time Temporary Custodian

There is a new opening for a full time, temporary custodian for the Facilities & Maintenance Department on the Rome campus of MVCC.

Here are the details about the position:

• The shift is Monday through Friday from 6:00am – 2:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch. We need them to start as soon as possible and the end date is undetermined (it will be until the position has been filled permanently).
• Custodians are responsible for building cleaning (i.e. sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, trash removal, etc…) and they will assist with basic groundskeeping tasks (i.e. raking leaves, shoveling snow, etc…) as well as occasional minor maintenance tasks (i.e. changing light bulbs, etc…).
• Qualified individuals should have some basic janitorial/maintenance experience, the ability to work 1st shift and reliably commute to and from work. They should also be detail-oriented, comfortable working independently (as well as part of a team)

Pay rate: $16.25 per hour
