Shifts:
Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm ($18/hour);
Tuesday–Friday 5:00 am–3:30 pm ($18/hour).

General upkeep of the office building. Ensure the building(s) are clean and in orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include notifying management of repair needs and clearing snow or debris from sidewalks. Vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and small repair work may also be required. This position reports to the shift supervisor.

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash; service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners and tools.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; mix cleaning solutions per specifications.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Operate vehicles required for cleaning work (vans, industrial trucks, etc.).
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or with hand trucks.
• Notify management of major repairs or additions to building systems.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas using appropriate equipment and de-icers.
• Requisition supplies and equipment as needed.
• Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent infestation.
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

• Basic knowledge of repair techniques or related job training alongside an experienced custodian.

  Skills:
  
  Sanitation for food facilities, finishing/refinishing floors, forklift driver.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Education/
  
  Experience:
  
  High School Diploma or GED plus at least 6 months of experience.
• Language:
  Must be able to read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Ability to read, analyze, and follow orders.
• Physical Demands:
  Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds; crouch or crawl under a 48" shelf; ascend/descend stairs; operate phone systems; regular indoor work with repetitive motion; ability to work extended periods as required.
• Vision:
  Must have 20/20 corrected vision; able to read and discern visual images; clear speech for communication over telephones.

• Work environment may include moving mechanical parts and exposure to fumes or airborne particles; noise ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
