Under supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician performs a variety of building maintenance and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED
* (3) years of building maintenance experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience
Primary Responsibilities:
* Displays acceptable range of relevant knowledge toward building equipment maintenance and operations with the ability to self-manage daily tasks with little to no guidance required.
* Assembles and moves files cabinets, furniture, appliances, machinery and equipment.
* Operating power equipment such as mower, hedger, chain saw and other.
* Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs, ballasts and light fixtures
* Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair or replacement.
* Performs preventative building maintenance duties such as caulking windows, replacing doorknobs and locks, minor roof repairs, cleaning gutters.
* Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks and leaking faucets.
* Painting interior and exterior walls.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
* Ability to navigate ticket tracking software, smart phone features and Microsoft Outlook
