Summary:About the Role

As an Environmental Services Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and comfort of everyone who walks through our doors. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys staying active throughout the day, and understands that attention to detail can make a meaningful difference in the patient experience.
From maintaining patient and public areas to supporting linen services and specialty cleaning functions, your work helps create an environment where exceptional care can happen. The starting annual salary for this position is $34,312 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment throughout the organization
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, treatment areas, public spaces, offices, and other assigned locations
- Support infection prevention efforts by following established cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Perform linen distribution, collection, and related services
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining specialized and sterile areas as needed
- Operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectively
- Support outdoor maintenance activities, including lawn care and snow removal when required
- Complete specialty cleaning assignments and other environmental services tasks as directed
- Contribute to a positive experience for patients, visitors, and team members through reliable and high-quality service
- Takes pride in keeping spaces clean, organized, and welcoming
- Has a strong work ethic and a dependable approach to daily responsibilities
- Pays close attention to detail and follows instructions carefully
- Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team
- Is comfortable performing physical work and being active throughout the shift
- Demonstrates professionalism and respect when interacting with patients, visitors, and colleagues
- Can safely operate equipment and tools used in environmental services and facility maintenance
- Is flexible and willing to assist with a variety of cleaning, linen, and maintenance-related tasks
- Previous environmental services, housekeeping, custodial, hospitality, healthcare, or facility maintenance experience is helpful but not required.

Required Education and Experience
There are no specific education or experience requirements for appointment to this title; however, candidates must be able to speak and write English to be eligible for appointment and to perform the duties of this position.

Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
