Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

Job Summary

Keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for students, visitors and staff.

Full‑time schedule;
Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Full and part‑time positions available to meet scheduling needs.

$14.25 to $15.00 per hour.

• Six months of previous janitorial experience.

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and reset furniture placement.
• Clean assigned areas with assigned materials and equipment; sanitize all surfaces. Follow the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refinishes floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team; exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
