Hazwoper Laborers

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize hand-tools and equipment, absorbent booms and pads to contain and remediate impacted surfaces, soils and waters.
• Operate light and heavy equipment including: pumps, vacuum, oil spill boom, generators, bobcats, etc.
• Perform emergency response activities including: chemical and water spills, etiological and biological contamination, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination.
• Be able to meet a 12 hour night or day shift work schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Able to work on-call projects as well as longer term projects.
• Experience with pump watch, setting up gabion walls and sediment removal required.
• Ability to perform labor intensive activities in any weather or environmental conditions.
• Reliable local transportation.
• Ability to perform duties while adhering to safety priorities while wearing PPE, such as respirators and protective clothing.

Full-time, Contract

$18.00- 20.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

• Do you have a current 40 Hour Hazwoper Certificate? If so, when does it expire?

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

• OSHA 30 (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)
• Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response Training (Required)
