Floor Technician

Arkansas Building Services is hiring a dependable Floor Care Technician to maintain floors at commercial facilities for the Russellville area. This position is responsible for performing scheduled floor-care services safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.

• Strip and refinish vinyl and other resilient flooring
• Scrub, wax, buff, and burnish floors
• Clean carpets using extraction and low-moisture methods
• Clean tile, grout, and other hard-surface flooring
• Move and replace furniture as needed
• Operate and maintain floor-care equipment
• Mix and use cleaning chemicals according to instructions
• Inspect completed work and correct quality issues
• Keep equipment, vehicles, and work areas clean and organized
• Communicate job progress, supply needs, and site concerns to management
• Follow company safety procedures and customer-site requirements

• Floor-care or commercial cleaning experience is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with buffers, burnishers, extractors, and automatic scrubbers is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and follow written instructions
• Dependable attendance and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work for extended periods
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and occasional weekends
• Must be able to travel to customer locations within the assigned service area
• Must pass applicable pre-employment screening including background review and drug screening required.

Arkansas Building Services is a locally owned and managed, professional, commercial janitorial service provider based in North Little Rock with a branch office in Russellville. We provide commercial, medical, and industrial with commercial cleaning and other related services. ABS trains all employees on the proper guidelines, procedures, and proper & safe use of chemicals and equipment during the initial training and on an ongoing basis.
