Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The Custodian is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This includes routine cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, floors, surfaces, windows, and trash disposal. The role also involves supporting special events with setup, cleanup, and general maintenance tasks.
This position works a consistent Monday–Friday schedule.
Primary Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in assigned areas
- Clean windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in a sanitary manner
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Monitor and report maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Assist with setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for meetings and special events
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning supplies and equipment properly
- Ensure all assigned areas are maintained to cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph is required prior to starting.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in facilities management, operations, or a related field
- Basic awareness of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
- Ability to perform routine inspections and identify maintenance needs
- Familiarity with safety standards and building codes
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues, vendors, and contractors
- Ability to work both independently and under moderate supervision
- 3+ years of relevant experience in facilities coordination, office space planning, or vendor/contract management
- Experience with space utilization planning and long‑range office space strategy
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and energy efficiency in facility management
Pay Range -
