Evening Part Time Custodian

Overview

Entry-level janitorial position at Michigan Lutheran Seminary, Saginaw, MI. Part-time role with shifts that may vary to support events and after-hours cleaning.

• Provide basic cleaning of assigned areas.
• Provide deep cleaning of common spaces, restrooms, and other areas as assigned and/or needed.
• Complete janitorial work orders as assigned and in a timely manner.
• Report repair or maintenance needs as observed during daily activities.
• Assist with set-up and/or takedown for special services, concerts, plays, and other events or activities, as scheduled or needed.
• Provide scheduled cleaning and servicing of restrooms and common areas prior to evening and weekend events when needed.
• Assist maintenance staff in periodic tasks related to weather or seasonal needs, such as snow removal, mowing, or cleanup of leaves and lawn debris.
• Other duties as assigned, based upon the needs of the school or department.

• Experience working in a janitorial or maintenance position is desirable.
• Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, positive work ethic, and ability to work independently.
• Ability and willingness to coordinate with team members and take direction.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of the materials, tools, methods, and equipment used to perform janitorial operations.
