Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Field/Service Technician
Fives DyAG Corp is seeking a Mechanical Process Technician in the Saginaw, MI area. This is a first shift role. The Mechanical Process Technician plays a key role in assisting the Process Engineering team with day?to?day operations, development activities, and equipment readiness. This position works closely with engineers, technicians, and cross?functional departments to ensure projects run smoothly. Depending on experience, the individual may serve as a project lead or contribute as a hands?on
team member. The Technician will also interact face to face with customers.
- Participate in research and development initiatives aimed at enhancing existing processes, creating new capabilities, or improving equipment performance.
- Prepare, set up, and support the execution of customer development trials and demonstrations.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep all process equipment operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and support project objectives.
- Provide mechanical guidance to engineers, internal teams, suppliers, and customers when needed.
- Represent the company with professionalism and integrity during on?site work and customer interactions.
- Lead project activities when assigned larger or more complex tasks.
- Travel as required to support field work, customer trials, or equipment installations.
- High school Diploma. Associate's Degree or trade school certificate is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, operating manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Working knowledge of basic math, including fractions, decimals, percentages, proportions, and geometric measurements.
- Comfortable communicating in environments with elevated noise levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and groups.
- Practical problem?solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Foundational understanding of electrical systems, including exposure to 480?volt equipment.
- Must be able to operate hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and smaller power tools such as drills and torque wrenches.
