JOB OVERVIEW:
The purpose of this position is to assist in the daily operations of the National Equestrian Center to include concession stand (i.e. cash register sales, cleaning, etc.) and maintenance of the facility while providing adequate supervision of park patrons using the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Maintains positive public relations with visitors being courteous and polite.

* Operate concession stand.

* Clean and maintain appearance of interior and exterior of facility.

* Performs cleaning of the restrooms (sinks, toilets, floors, etc.) and cleaning of the concession stand and eating area (equipment, utensils, counters, tables, floors, etc.).

* Responsible for the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the facility areas which includes removal of items which do not belong, trash pickup and hosing down & sanitizing of areas.

* Assists with horse shows and special events at the park.

* Responsible for turning in appropriate forms and all list and found items to Supervisor.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Required to work various hours depending on park usage, weather, and work load.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Requires stable education and work history, relevant experience preferred. An equal combination of experience and training will be considered.

* Ability to communicate effectively with Parks and Recreation Department personnel, trainees, and the general public.

* Ability to perform duties of moderate physical demand including activities requiring reaching, stooping, grasping, chopping, carrying and lifting 35 lbs., and standing for long periods of time.

* This is a part-time position working approximately 10-24 hours per week. Estimated working time would be two to four days per week, working evenings and weekends.
