Due to growth, a successful, recession-proof manufacturer is adding a Maintenance Supervisor to their team! The Maintenance Supervisor will report to a Maintenance Manager and be responsible for day-to-day maintenance activities and supporting production. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the following duties:

• Lead, mentor and coach a maintenance team that works in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
• Facilitate a weekly meeting with the maintenance and operations teams to prioritize work orders and PM work and assign projects
• Hold maintenance team accountable for the department goals
• Champion the downtime protocol with the goal of getting equipment up and running as soon as possible
• Assist with CI initiatives related to elimination of downtime, increasing efficiencies and saving the company money
• Communicate with operations on a daily basis to prioritize projects and PM work
• Work to eliminate equipment downtime and support the maintenance team with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
• Facilitate activity to improve reliability
• Audit preventative maintenance projects
• Complete timesheet verification and attendance and vacation documentation for the maintenance team
• Other duties as directed by management

This position requires candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 70% of their day. Candidates should enjoy overseeing maintenance and holding the team accountable, have the ability to coach and mentor others, be firm and assertive and have good communication skills at all levels. Candidates should be willing to support their team with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and work to minimize downtime.

Problem solving skills are required! Candidates need to be willing to be on call and take after hour calls as needed. Medical benefits are available day one of employment. Requirements for the Maintenance Supervisor:

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required
• Depending on the level of education, at least 3-5 years of manufacturing maintenance supervision experience
• Experience working in manufacturing, ideally fast-paced processing environments
• Mechanical troubleshooting experience, including gears, pulleys, belts, chains, conveyors, etc.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience, including PLC troubleshooting, wiring, etc.
• Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook

Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:

• Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications
• Experience working in consumer products manufacturing
• CMMS experience
• ERP experience
• Experience supporting a 24/7 operations environment
