Safelite Repair Specialist I
As a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will utilize our industry‑leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs. You will champion the Safelite Spirit with a can‑do attitude, caring heart, and service mindset while striving to bring unexpected happiness to customers by completing jobs with only the highest quality standards in mind.
Responsibilities- Learn and perform vehicle glass repairs in the classroom and on the shop floor, focusing on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and leaders.
- Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass related issues on customer vehicles.
- Manage work orders, customer documentation, and customer communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
- Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
- Clean customer vehicle during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in the company vehicle and shop.
- Safely operate company and customer vehicles, and company‑issued tools and chemicals throughout the workday.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including driving duties monitored via cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Read, write, and interpret English language and technical directions; communicate orally and in writing via phone and computer.
- Competitive weekly base pay starting at $18.75/hour.
- Paid training and all the tools and resources needed for success.
- Pay for overtime hours, holiday, equipment, and more as per company policy. (

- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license and any other licenses required by federal, state, and local laws to operate a company vehicle (required).
- On‑the‑job training and completion of Safelite Safe Tech™ certification (required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. for short periods; assist an associate with lifting windshields weighing 26–50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist the body.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and agree to monitoring via camera/video surveillance.
- Maintains professionalism and passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to safely work outside in a variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures for extended periods.
- Ability to work with chemicals, including but not limited to flammable chemicals, as applicable.
- Ability to work scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customers’ needs.
- Problem‑solving and trouble‑shooting ability, both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance, following company uniform and PPE policies.
- Work under professional or personal pressure, and maintain stable performance under time pressure and productivity measures.
